Musical Director - Norman Eastbrook MBE

Our Musical Director is Head of the Essex Police Photographic Department, which is part of the Crime Division. Norman's life long involvement with music began as a boy chorister at Tiptree Parish Church, where he is now choirmaster.He also has a long association with Tiptree and District Choral Society, and has studied music with the Open University and the Royal School of Church Music; he is also a member of the Association of British Choral Directors. Norman's contribution to music, the community and Police work was recognised by the award of a MBE in the 2006.
..Deputy Musical Director – Doreen Potter
Doreen was born in Cheshire and began her musical career at the age of 7 with piano lessons which continued into her teenage years when she also had 3 years of singing training. More recently Doreen has been a freelance accompanist in schools which run examination sessions in tap, ballet and modern stage dancing. Since moving to Billericay in 1989 Doreen has also become well known in Essex as a soloist, accompanist, conductor and entertainer.

David was born in Sussex and started singing in a church choir until his voice broke. Having been allowed 2 years absence for his voice to settle he was then given bass solos in a production of 'The Crucifixion' at Chichester Cathedral. After joining the Metropolitan Police in 1959 David then joined its male voice choir, and later spent many years singing amateur lead roles in Gilbert and Sullivan operas and other favourites of musical theatre. After moving to Essex David eventually joined the Essex Police Choir and became its chairman in 2009.
